What we want

SMEs represent the spirit of work well done, so the awards aim to raise awareness of the work of lift SMEs and to encourage work well done.
To highlight the work carried out by SMEs in the field of lifts.
To promote the exchange of good practices between SMEs from different European countries.
To encourage and inspire other SMEs to present projects in future editions.
To encourage collaboration between manufacturers and lift SMEs throughout Europe.

CATEGORIES

There are 11 award categories

Unique buildings

Recognizes singular elevator projects carried out in singular buildings, that is, buildings that have characteristics that stand out from normal buildings.

Examples: buildings with a historical value or buildings with innovative and avant-garde architecture.

Building renovation

Recognises lift projects in buildings that did not have a lift and which allow for accessibility at the same time as being integrated into the building. 

Examples: lifts that occupy stairwells, interior courtyards or facades.

Modernisations

Recognises projects for the modernisation of existing lifts.

Examples: old lifts that are modernised to incorporate new safety measures, greater speed, space, etc.

Accesibility

Recognises projects or actions that favour the mobility of people with some type of disability.

Examples: actions in buildings by removing barriers such as entrance stairs and installing any type of lifting solution.

Maintenance

Recognises excellent practices in the development of preventive or corrective maintenance activities.

Examples: maintenance actions that reflect work well done or the implementation of innovative technologies.

Special applications

Recognises lifting solutions in special applications in any field.

Examples: lifting solutions in ships, special atmospheres, wind towers…

Quality and regulatory activity

Recognises SMEs committed to excellence and real quality and to the development of regulatory activity.

Examples: seals of excellence, quality certifications, participation in technical commissions for the elaboration of standards.

Digitalisation

Recognises the digital transformation projects of any of the activities of SMEs in the lift sector.

Examples: Pessral, IoT applications, Big Data, ERP, CRM…implemented by SMEs in the elevator sector.

Environment

Recognises projects that help to protect the environment within organisational and technical areas.

Examples: actions related to the reduction of consumption, environmental impact throughout the life cycle, circular economy.

People management

Recognises  projects or actions that favour the development of workers, through training plans, presence of women, inclusion of minorities…

Examples: actions in the field of human resources, such as training plans, increasing the presence of women, integration of people with disabilities…

Communication and social responsibility

This double category recognises communication campaigns or social responsibility plans that highlight the advantages of lift SMEs and their support for the development of the local economy, cultural and sporting initiatives or actions with needy sectors of society.

Examples: communication campaigns in any medium, sports and cultural sponsorship, support for initiatives developed by the Church, NGOs, etc.
